Paw Print #1
Paw Print #1
Frame size: 11.25” x 13.25”
The paw print belongs to our late Great Dane, Olive. She was with me when I first started Snail Mail and we have missed her dearly this past year. When I was sketching paw prints, I saw hers on my wall and thought it would be a wonderful way to honor her life by tracing hers. I hope each of her prints remind you of the love your own pups give you.
The pallets have been formed from painting thousands of greeting cards, so your paw print is representative of how this community has shown love to their neighbors near and far.
Each frame was handcrafted by my dad, Barry, from salvaged wood at my Uncle’s architectural salvage business Salvagewrights in Orange, VA. The frames are carefully crafted from scrap barn wood, so each frame is a unique depth and size. Within the frames is a piece of recycled glass, salvaged from old homes, and cut to size by hand.
All of these pieces are imperfectly perfect. Each is a slightly different size, hue, and texture - enhancing the textures and giving each piece it’s own unique flare.
